   The CampAnime version of a con’s Opening Ceremony. Meet the staff, get a tour of the camp, learn how to use a map, and, best of all, meet other attendees. There will be popcorn and popsicles for all and it’s a nice, relaxed way to get the lay of the land for the weekend. We will be doing tours every 15 minutes from 4pm to 5pm.

   While cons may be super fun, they can also be super stressful at times. No one has perfected con-crunching or how to avoid post-con depression, but I have learned some tricks over my 12 years attending conventions to make your con experience as a whole a little more enjoyable.    What once was a peaceful village has suddenly become full of lies and distrust due to the discovery that some of the villagers are... werewolves! "Ultimate Werewolf" is a party game with role-playing aspects. It is based on the party game Mafia and shares many features. Come join us for a couple games, or just watch as we try to figure out which of our friends is hiding a secret.

   Join 15 year D&D veteran Teddy Metayer as he gives you a glance behind the DM screen. We will be talking about tips and tricks for people looking to DM their first game, to heighten a pre existing game or even how to look to other systems and games for inspiration.

Making a Paper Lantern-Crafting Cabin

   Join us for a Paper lantern workshop. We will supply the materials and show you how to make the craftiest paper lanterns around. Later, at 9 pm at the Baseball Field, you can use that lantern at our second Camp Carnival of Lights.    After a hearty breakfast, what could be better than an early morning workout. Squats, Jumping Jacks, push-ups and now that I'm thinking...even I don't want to do that.    Fan Fiction can be interesting. We're going to read a few "chose your own adventure" style ones where the audience gets to guide where the store goes. The last one we will create ourselves each player will add a line to the story.

Tie Dye with Shannon-Outdoor Dining Hall Tent

   Buy a Camp Anime T-shirt and Tie dye it with Shannon before heading off to your next panel. We will do some unique or old-fashioned tie dye tricks to make your plain white T-shirt uniquely colorful, and ketchup free. Don’t have a camp T? Just bring your own shirt, plain white pillowcase or anything your heart desires.

 

H20 Baseball-Rec Field

   Imagine baseball, but with water balloons. Hit the balloon and run to the base. The pitcher can then take another balloon to throw to the 1st baseman. If he catches it before you get there, you are out. If you hit it or the balloon breaks, then you are safe. I’m not going to lie you will get wet! But you’ll also have some fun.

   Two teams compete for the title of Anime Grand Champion. The winner will be adorned with riches, and the loser shall be banished from the land forever. Wait, that sounds a little intense...let's start over. It's a classic game show with an Anime theme, you may know everything about Naruto, but the answers rely on one hundred random people with possibly no Anime knowledge trying to answer them. So, how well do you think you'll do now.

Battle Of the Cosplay Stars-Rec Field

 Teams will compete in our annual family fun event. Come take part in classic family picnic games with a Japanese-game-show twist:  3-legged race, Pong, Kan Jam, fill the bucket with water, pie-eating contest, and Wiffle Ball pitch. They all sound innocent enough, but if you’ve ever seen a Japanese game show, you may want to think twice about volunteering for this one. Four people per team may participate.

   Dress to impress for our annual cosplay contest. Points are given for originality, overall look, ability to stay in character, and overall attitude. The MC will ask each contestant a question or two. These questions will be actual questions from past televised beauty pageants…so they will all be a little weird. Please note: You can enter 3 days but only win once.  Judged by our Con Prince and Princess and hosted by Matt and a Mystery Guest in the Dining Hall.

 

Make a Rave Hoop-Craft Cabin

   Have you ever wanted to start hooping, but never had the money to buy your own rave hoop? This is your chance to make one for free. We supply the material; you supply the creativity. Join Haru vamp on a step-by-step course and keep your hoop! ATTENTION! Feel free to bring special tape, ribbon or other decoration for your hoop, if you don’t want to use basic colors!

Summer festival- Baseball Field (7:00 to 8:50 pm)

It starts off with a game of Suikawari, after a long hot day at camp who wouldn't want some watermelon and what's better than watermelon? Making a game out of splitting one open. A Japanese picnic game for the whole family kicks off our Summer Festival. Carnival games, silly prizes, food and more. Games will have 2 levels; you can play for free and win comics or pay $2 (or 2 canned food items) per ticket to win additional prizes. You can also use tickets for popcorn, cotton candy, shaved ice or Boba tea.

So, every con has a few panels that get canceled or run late for one reason or another. Here's the deal: for every panel that doesn't start on time you get 1 pie to hit me in the face with. Lantern Festival- Meet on the Baseball Field

If you made a lantern at our workshop at the Dining Hall or brought one from home, come join us for a late-night walk throughout the camp. Please do not bring real candles or tea lights...we don't want to burn the camp down! LED candles and lanterns are fine.  The walk starts promptly at 9 pm, so get here a few minutes early if you don't want to get lost.  We will walk a bit through the camp and end at the Bonfire.

    Think of it as a fun Sunday morning exercise thingy, seriously it's fun. In this one hour session we will touch upon using movement to cope with anxiety. We will then run a Stretching/Movement session with anime music as a backdrop and, time willing, may even try to show you a dance move or two and help get the body ready for the day. Hosted by Zai.

   It's not a judged contest, just a chance to walk the runway and strut your stuff and show the world what you did with your cosplay this year. The questions that we will ask you will be mostly about how you made your cosplay and props. We will not be asking you to answer, "in character". It's more of a chance to share your knowledge with others and maybe even pick up a tip or two for your next cosplay idea. Points will not be given, but it's still a ton of fun.
