Do you think you can find the hidden egg? Amanda will hide ONE egg each day. Find the clue in the mess hall for a hint to its whereabouts. Do you feel lucky?! Bring the egg back to Amanda during any meal service and win a prize!

 

Gotta Catch Em All-Dining Hall

We will have 10 Pokemon hidden throughout the camp each day. Take a selfie with all 10 and win a prize. Just see HaruVamp during any meal service to show her what you caught and to claim your prize.

In this is workshop students will learn the basics of the Japanese Calligraphy. Akiko will be instructing campers on the art of the brush. There will be a $10 fee for this course to cover materials as well as an 8 person limit to this class so please pre-register. Hosted by Akiko.

Anime Family Feud-Dining Hall

Two teams compete for the title of Anime Grand Champion. The winner will be adorned with riches and the loser shall be banished from the land forever. Wait that sounds a little intense...let's start over. It's the classic game show with an Anime theme, you may know everything about Naruto but the answers rely on one hundred random people with possibly no Anime knowledge trying to answer them. Sumi-e Brush Painting lesson-Boathouse

In this is workshop students will learn the basics of Sumi-e Brushstroke. Akiko will be instructing campers on the art of Sumi-e with the goal of helping each student paint a finished work that they can bring home. This will be a hands on course with ink and brushes provided. There will be a $10 fee for this course to cover materials as well as an 8 person limit to this class so please pre-register.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class. Hosted by Akiko.

Back by popular demand! Do you like to sing? Do you like to cosplay? Well this is the panel for you! Compete with your fellow campers in a star-studded singing competition! You don’t have to dress up, but extra points will be awarded for being in costume and performing in-character. There will be prizes of Pocky and Ramune for the winners! Pac Man Live- Flag FB Field

Every year we break out the hopper balls and recreate a classic video game with them. This year's theme is Pac Man.  A maze, some hopper balls and someone dressed up as Pac Man...what could go wrong? Hosted by Con Men.

He has been studying since the summer of 2014, including time in Kyoto, Japan but mostly with his teachers in Boston who has been studying for over 40 years.  Please come join us for a Japanese sweet and a bowl of matcha while learning about the Japanese aesthetic, history and culture through the way of tea. There will be 4 sessions, one each hour, for this event and seating is limited so please sign up ahead of time at the admissions desk. Hosted by Anthony Crasso.

Dress to impress for our annual cosplay contest. Points are given for originality, overall look, ability to stay in character, and overall attitude. There will be smaller prizes for the best male and female costume as well as an overall grand prize. Please note that cosplayers spend a lot of time and effort on their costumes. ALL of them deserve respect and recognition throughout the con. Please remember: You can enter all 3 days, but only win once.  Judged by our Con Prince and Princess and hosted by Matt and a Mystery Guest in the Dining Hall.

 Bonsai Workshop-Pop's Lodge (7 pm to 8:30 pm)

This 90-minute class has a $20 entry fee to help cover costs. Participants in this workshop will get a Bonsai tree, pot, soil, rocks and instruction on how to care for the Bonsai (a $40 value). Victor will be on hand to walk you through the basics of Bonsai and the requirements to maintain a healthy, happy Bonsai. We ask that you pre-register ahead of time so we have enough Bonsai trees for everybody. We will have extras in case you forget but letting us know ahead of time would be nice. There will be 2 ways to win this year. You can play for free and win free comics or you can purchase tickets for $2 to win prizes valued at $8 or more. Manga, Anime Figures and Models, Blind Boxes and more! You play until you win...so a $2 ticket will get you at least an $8 prize. There will only be 300 of the larger prizes available.

We'll pop a classic movie on the semi-big screen so sit back have a PB&J and Hot Coco and relax. It's not much but it's free for anyone with a late night munchies. We will also have hot dogs and S'mores at the bonfire.

 

Summer festival cont.- Baseball Field (7 pm to 8:50 pm)

Its starts off with a game of Suikawari, after a long hot day at camp who wouldn't want some watermelon and what's better then watermelon? Making a game out of splitting one open. A Japanese picnic game for the whole family kicks off our 1st Summer Festival. Carnival games, silly prizes, and of course pie.

Our fourth year doing a musical/comedy stage show. We give the performers 2 hours to write and rehearse whatever comes to mind and then they perform it live. It's not a judged contest, just a chance to walk the runway and strut your stuff and show the world what you did with your cosplay this year. The questions that we will ask you will be mostly about how you made your cosplay and props. We will not be asking you to answer "in character". It's more of a chance to share your knowledge with others and maybe even pick up a tip or two for your next cosplay idea. Points will not be given, but it's still a ton of fun. Remember those models that your grandfather used to build? Well these are the same thing, kind of... sort of...well not really. It's Gundam and it's a lot cooler (sorry Grandpa). I'll teach you the basics of a good Gundam build and walk you, step by step as you build your very own. If time permits me will touch on paint basics. Battle Of The Cosplay Stars-Flag FB Field

Teams will compete in our annual family-fun event. Come take part in classic family picnic games with a Japanese-game-show twist:  3-legged race, Pong, Kan Jam, fill the bucket with water, pie-eating contest, and Wiffle Ball pitch. They all sound innocent enough, but if you’ve ever seen a Japanese game show, you may want to think twice about volunteering for this one. Four people per team may participate. Hosted by Con Men.

Gundam Build PT 2 - Yurt A

Remember those models that your grandfather used to build? Well these are the same thing, kind of... sort of...well not really. It's Gundam and it's a lot cooler (sorry Grandpa). I'll teach you the basics of a good Gundam build and walk you, step by step as you build your very own. If time permits me will touch on paint basics. There will be a $10 materials cost for the first part of this class or you can bring your own model to build at no charge.
